50 Shades of Black.

This season I have been loving wearing all black. It automatically makes you look slimmer and put together. For my jewelry I wore two necklaces from Rocksbox, which is a mail order subscription service. You create a style profile online and they send you 3 pieces of jewelry that can be worth up to $200! I recommend it to those that are trying to create a jewelry collection with amazing pieces! My go-to accessory is my gold Michael Kors watch, it really goes with every outfit and the big face makes it a stand out piece.  My favorite part about this outfit was the shirt, the exposed gold zipper is so unique and makes the outfit! I am a firm believer in investing in a nice pair of riding boots. One of the hardest questions every girl is faced with is "what color boots do I get?! Black or brown?!" This can take some girls days to decide, and I was one of those girls! My word of advice: evaluate your closet and decide which color would match your wardrobe the best! (Thank you Santa for spoiling me with these this year!)

Introduction.

Wow, whoever said starting a blog was easy, lied!  I thought I had some technology skills, especially since I can operate Instagram, Facebook, Tumblr, Twitter, and Snapchat all at the same time, but it didn't prepare me for this.  With this being my first "post" I feel so much pressure on what to say and how to make a good impression for all of y'all!  I will begin with why I want to do this blog.

It has been a dream of mine since my Junior year of high school to start a blog. It was the last day before summer break and I had one last exam to study for, so of course I decided to search random things online to avoid studying. (So studious right?!)  Suddenly, I came across a whole new world of bloggers!  Every blog I found was a beautiful girl, with a Victoria's Secret model body, and of course some foreign boyfriend to take all her gorgeous pictures.  I was obsessed, enthralled, mesmerized, and blown away by this whole new world.  I was able to follow these people's lives all around the world, while they sat on street corners posing, eating macaroons, and wearing the most beautiful clothes.  I decided that I would create a blog one day, and have a beautiful life like that too.  Well, fast forward six years and here we are!

Now, I am in no way, shape, or form 5'11, super skinny, or super high fashion as some bloggers.  Being barley 5'2, and no foreign photographer boyfriend to take all my pictures, I want this blog to represent all of us that do not have the perfect body, hair, or makeup like the people we admire.  I'm as normal as it gets, but I like to have fun with fashion and makeup and maybe someone will get some inspiration along the way.  My name is Megan, born and raised in Memphis, Tennessee, am 20 years old and a Junior in college, studying marketing.  I have an almost crazy obsession (a healthy obsession; at least that whats I tell myself) with Taylor Swift and Pinterest.  My weeks consists of classes and doing tons of homework because I decided to take 18 hours this semester.  If that isn't enough, I tutor and mentor and nanny kids for a wonderful family.  Somehow, I still find time to spend time with my friends and family, and of course, SHOP!!!

This post is so long, but I have so much to say!  In this huge world, I want to inspire a few people to follow their dreams, whatever they may be, and to live life to the fullest!  I do not know where this blog will take me or how it will all work out, but I look forward to what will come!  Hope y'all want to share this journey with me and see part of my life!

This was from today, when I was nannying, they said "pretend your cake pop is a microphone!!"

I am wearing:
Black Piko top
Monogram necklace from etsy.com
Kate Spade Glasses
and I consumed a Starbucks birthday cake, cake-pop (my obsession in life)
